Will the Firefox Quantum compete with Google Chrome?

Before Google introduced chrome, Firefox was our beloved browser. Mozilla has been trying to catch-up and compete with the Chrome. When you install the Firefox quantum, you will notice a new logo, a bit colorful and looks more modern. There is a complete change in the UI and design.

According to the Speedometer benchmark simulation, Quantum is 2x faster than the previous version of Firefox and Chrome. In a memory usage comparison, the atsy project was used to load 30 pages it's own tab with seconds in between loads and 60 seconds of settle time at the end. Then memory usage was measured for the various processes that each browser spawns during that time.

Thanks to the Project Photon, Quantum looks more intuitive than other browsers. Switching tabs is faster with more responsive engine. Private browsing is more secure than ever with added tracking protection. Firebox blocks online trackers while you browse and won't remember your history after you're done. Quantum feels lot faster because it blocks some ads and scripts that bog down the browser.
