Elon Musk, earlier this year announced that will be launching A Futuristic Electric Semi Truck soon. And on 12 Novemeber Elon Musk tweeted:

And at today morning as of 9.30 A.M. IST, the truck was unveiled and its really futuristic and different Musk promised. All though it is electric it is really powerful and has mile range of upto 500 miles. And the truck comprises of four independent motors for maximum power.
The outside design looks amazing with stylish windows and is like concept cars of future. As on official website, the Truck has acceleration of zero to 60 mph in 20 seconds, fully loaded. Instant traction control with four independent motors. Mile range of 300 or 500 miles. And Tesla says to have power consumption of less than 2KWh per mile.
And the interior is completely modular. There are two screens on each of side and Driver seat centrally mounted to provide maximum visibility and control, and a low center of gravity offers rollover protection. Tesla designers says that they provide more space for walking and hence creating more storage space inside driver cabin. It has autopilot feature, which in semi truck is never seen before which includes self driving capabilities and Tesla says to have at least semi-autonomous capability.
Tesla hopes that this innovative heavy duty vehicle will relieve truck driver who are tired of same design for years. But it won't be alone in the market, the big truck companies like Cummins and Diamler have announced plans for electrified vehicles. But Tesla is the first which surely will push the market of trucks and will pressurize truck companies to redesign, innovate and provide something new to stay resilient in market.
