Now we can say that we are in the future. There are buildings that are ahead of time due to great piece of architecture and marvel of the workers making wonders of the world. It is also due to the great deep mind of human and money they spend on it. So here's the list of top 11 mega tall skyscrapers:

11. Petronas Twin Towers, Malaysia

The Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, were the tallest buildings from 1998 to 2004, and are still the tallest twin buildings. Height: 451.9m Floors: 88 above ground + 5 below ground Elevators: 40 in each tower Cost: $1.6 billion

10. International Commerce Centre, Hong Kong

The International Commerce Centre in Hong Kong, is currently the 10th tallest building. Height: 484m Floors: 108 above ground + 4 below ground Elevators: 83

9. Shanghai World Financial Centre, China

The Shanghai World Financial Center is the 9th tallest building and the 3rd tallest in China.

Height: 492m Floors: 101 above ground + 3 below ground Elevators: 91 Cost: $1.20 billion

8. Taipei 101, Taiwan

Taipei 101 in Taipei, Taiwan, was the world's tallest building from 2004 to 2010; it is now 8th.

Height: 509.2m Floors: 101 above ground + 5 below ground Elevators: 61 Cost: $1.93 billion

7. Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre, China

CTF Finance Centre in Guangzhou, China, is the 7th tallest building..

Height: 530m Floors: 111 above ground + 5 below ground Elevators: 95 Cost: $1.5 billion

6. One World Trade Centre, USA

One World Trade Center in New York City, is the 6th tallest building and the tallest in the Western Hemisphere.

Height: 541.3m Floors: 104 above ground + 5 below ground Elevators: 73 Cost: $3.9 billion

5. Lotte World Tower, South Korea

Lotte World Tower in Seoul, South Korea, is the 5th tallest building.

Height: 555.7m Floors: 123 above ground + 6 below ground Elevators: 58 Cost: $3.4 billion

4. Ping An Finance Centre, China

Ping An Finance Centre, in Guangdong, China, is the 4th tallest building.

Height: 600m Floors: 115 above ground + 4 below ground Elevators: 80 Cost: $678 millions

3. Abraj Al Bait, Saudi Arabia

The Abraj Al-Bait Towers in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, is the 3rd tallest building. And it is world's most expensive tower.

Height: 601m Floors: 120 Elevators: 96 Cost: $15 billion

2. Shanghai Tower, China

Shanghai Tower in Shanghai, China, is the 2nd tallest building.

Height: 632m Floors: 128 above ground + 5 below ground Elevators: 106 Cost: $2.8 billion

1. Burj Khalifa, Dubai

The Burj Khalifa is a megatall skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates which is world's tallest building.

Height: 828m Floors: 163 above ground + 2 below ground Elevators: 57 Cost: $1.5 billion

This is not enough. Still there are many building under construction and soon in coming years they will make their way into top list. It is just starting for such huge buildings. But there are currently one building in construction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia known as The Jeddah Tower. It will break all records surpassing Burj Khaifa crossing 1 km (3281 ft) when its completed.

Currently the construction is put on hold and it will start again in under 6 months. Also to mention Dubai is building Dubai Creek Tower which on completion could pass any tallest standing man made structure on Earth including The Jeddah Tower. The height of the tower is not yet announced but it is in competition with The Jeddah Tower. Although this article is about tallest building and not tower, still it was worth to mention about it.

The Human Race would have never thought millennial ago that they will reach sky by building mega structures. Kudos to people building them brains behind designing such toys!
